This is the basic version of the software for managing your own auctions. It has the following basic features:
- Auctions
- Lots
- Management of lot categories
- Users (auction house customers)
Currently the software is in English and Italian. Other languages can be implemented on request.
Online Auctions
Features for creating and managing online auctions have been developed on the basis of auctions houses’ typical needs, some of which are listed below:
- Creating and managing a group of auctions (typically an auction has a publication date and a completion date/time)
- Managing lots: after uploading the complete auction (we take care of this) the auction house has the option of managing each lot in its entirety (changes, cancellations, managing offers, etc.);
- All customers’ offers and automatic raises (proxy bids) can be managed from the auction house
- statistics are available at any time (starting price values, total offer values, etc.)
- more than one group of auctions can be managed at the same time (one auction house can have several published auctions with different deadlines at the same time)
- lots are normally divided by categories which are defined by the auctions houses (e.g. Celtic coins, Greek coins, etc.)
User management
User management is geared to the needs of auction houses, for example:
- user registration with personal data and references (normally purchase references are requested from other auction houses)
- an auction house can accept or not accept a user and assign them a maximum spending budget per auction, which can be modified subsequently
- users can manage their own data, and see their own orders and purchases
- auction houses also handle commissions on sales for each single user with a value pre-set by the house itself and personalized values as needed (i.e. coin dealers can have lower commissions)
- users are identified online with a user number, so that customers’ personal data are not visible on the web
